AT&T HTC One X | iLauncher

A friend of mine tipped me off about this launcher and its pretty nice. It does have some annoyance, can’t run widgets, and its short on feature. The only good thing is the icons are big, nicely sized on my 720p screen and look amazing, reminds me of MIUI. That’s the only reason why I like it. I did buy the paid version which allows for icon editing and changing, so as you can see Athena HD is making an appearance. The 3 dot bar at the bottom is HTC menu button. It sucks and looks out of place. I need to root my phone so I can destroy it.

I don’t know how long ill be keeping this launcher, too iPhone-ish for me, but its the only launcher I’ve used thus far that really shows off the detailed icon design.

AT&T HTC One X

Bone stock and boring, lol. I have the modding bug in me, but the bootloader is STILL locked. We have root at least, but that doesn’t really do me any good

Im trying out a few launcher and will have something modded up by this weekend and hopefully for release.

It’s been awhile since I updated the PMW links, so Im gonna do them all in this post. If you emailed me or left a comment my deepest apology, I’ve been extremely busy and haven’t had much time for the blog. I got a new phone, AT&T HTC One X and since there is no bootloader unlock (just root), well, modding it with themes is out of the question so far, so I havent been doing much of anything lately with my phone. I still have my Evo 4G with MIUI, but haven’t flashed any MIUI in like 3 weeks

This will change THIS week.

For now though, this post is for people who still want a PMW mod. You know the routine, show proof/email and of which mod (there are 4 I believe) and ill email you the link (app is paid).

Good bye Sprint, Hello AT&T!

I am now a proud owner of the HTC One X!

This phone is AWESOME! Looks and feels great. No need to go over specs, you guys already know it’s capability. A lot of people have asked me why I didn’t I stay with Sprint and get the Evo 4G LTE. Well, a couple of things.

1. I don’t like the look of the phone, and I’ve been very vocal about it on various forums. I really think HTC America messed up the design, with two tone, glossy black / poly carbon grey. Im not a fan of a kickstand (never used mine on my Evo 4G). Also don’t need a dedicate camera button.

2. Sprint doesn’t have an LTE network up yet, and when it does hit, it won’t be in my area for quite some time (early – mid 2013). AT&T has LTE in my area, and it’s HSPA+ is faster than Sprint’s 3G & Wimaxx. My AT&T signal is MUCH better already, that’s a HUGE plus for me.

3. My bill is cheaper by about $15. No unlimited data though, but I avg. about 1.5GB of data a month, so I choose AT&T 3GB plan which easily suits me fine.

4. I wanted the Cream color over Black or Grey. Something new.

Now I know Evo 4G LTE will have a slightly bigger battery, Micro SD and removal battery, but those are not major things to me. I’ve never removed the Micro SD card from my Evo and I just recently changed my battery, but the stock one lasted me almost all of my 2 year contract. So, while those things are cool, its not a need to have for me. Sprint CS was great to me for the past 2 years, no complaints and I think I only call them 2x my whole entire contract. They were friendly, helpful and nice too. I just wish the signal was better, Wimaxx was in my (and MORE) cities, and LTE was available NOW. I’m not gonna let Sprint fool me again with ‘it’s coming… just wait’ moniker. I bit with Evo 4G, and I’m still waiting. I’m not going down that road again with the Evo 4G LTE.

I would love to hear peoples opinion on the two, and what you are deciding to get!

Sneak peak of my newest app, Illustrate!

I’ve been working on the design aspect of a Tweegram like app for Android the last week or so and I wanted to show off a small sneak peak. For those that don’t know, Tweegram (for iPhone) is a way to Tweet on Instagram. There is an Android version (not by the same company) on Play Store. I have used it, but I don’t like it very much, atleast the design. So I’m making one with a better look and feel.

Samsung Galaxy S III

What do you think of Samsungs newest model to the Galaxy series? Personally, it did nothing for me. I was actually disappointed by it. The gloss shell gives it somewhat of cheap look and feel. Design wise, it looks to be Galaxy Nexus v1.2. Not to say the GNex is a bad looking phone, it’s not. I would just have hoped Sammy would have pushed the design of the phone MORE, seeing the buzz shifting around it the past few months.

It’s a spec beast, no denying that, but I’m more soon turned off by it’s looks. Samsung has tagged it “designed for humans”, huh, really? Where there robots in mind before, maybe animals? Lol. I’m not a fan of TouchWiz, and now this newest one is ‘nature themed’ TouchWiz, :yawn:.
